PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 19-year-old New Port Richey man died early Sunday morning after losing control of his motorcycle on State Road 54 in Wesley Chapel.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the fatal crash occurred around 4:40 AM. The victim, operating a Kawasaki motorcycle, was traveling eastbound on SR-54, just east of Old County Road 54.

FHP reports indicate that the rider lost control of the motorcycle, veered onto the outside shoulder, and subsequently struck a guardrail. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the accident.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
