Former Speaker Urges US to Set “Serious Lines of Demarcation” Amid Iranian Missile Strikes
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich issued a stern warning on Fox Business Tuesday regarding the potential pitfalls of a ceasefire with Iran, urging the U.S. to avoid repeating what he termed “dumb games” of past diplomatic failures.
His comments came just a day after President Donald Trump announced a “total ceasefire” between Israel and Iran, an agreement swiftly undermined by Iranian missile attacks on Israel on Tuesday.
Speaking on “Kudlow,” Gingrich emphasized the critical nature of the coming weeks in establishing clear boundaries on Iran’s nuclear ambitions and its ongoing support for terrorism.

“The next couple weeks are important. Can we have set down serious lines of demarcation of things they have to do to avoid having their government totally destroyed militarily?” Gingrich questioned, highlighting the life-or-death stakes for both Israel and, eventually, the U.S.
Gingrich expressed deep frustration with previous diplomatic approaches, which he believes enabled Iran to deceive the U.S. and gain time to advance its nuclear technology.
He adamantly opposes any ceasefire that would permit the Iranian regime to continue financing terrorism, chanting anti-Israel and anti-American slogans, and secretly pursuing nuclear weapons.

His remarks follow significant military actions, including U.S. strikes on Sunday using 14 GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators against Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. This operation involved seven B-2A Spirit bombers on a 37-hour mission.
These American strikes came after Israel’s own military action against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure ten days prior, which Iran retaliated against with missile attacks on Israeli cities and a refusal to reengage in nuclear talks.
