If you’re moving illegal substances across a portion of the 57-mile stretch of SR-710, there is a high probability you aren’t making it out of Martin County. Over the last two weeks, Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputies working in the Indiantown area have focused their enforcement on this specific roadway, which is a known corridor for regional drug trafficking.
Working the stretch between Palm Beach County and Okeechobee, deputies conducted a series of traffic stops that led to the seizure of fentanyl, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and various syringes.
In one instance, a single stop resulted in the arrest of three individuals found with a mix of meth, fentanyl, and cocaine residue. The very next day, a different stop on the same highway yielded more fentanyl and crack cocaine.

The enforcement surge also turned up illegal weapons. During a separate stop, deputies recovered a stolen handgun and a second firearm found in the possession of a convicted felon, along with a significant amount of marijuana.
The Sheriff’s Office noted that these efforts are part of a proactive strategy to stop illegal activity on the roadway before it enters local neighborhoods. According to the department, the heightened vigilance along SR-710 is set to continue.
Authorities have identified the individuals arrested during this period as Michael Dale Cross, 41; Patricia Anne Asfour, 38; Freddy Lee Mott, 38; Shannon Keith Roseman, 45; Sean Michael Tutterow, 46; Thomas Domando, 34; and Steven Richter, 36.
