LUTZ, Fla. – Just another Saturday morning in Florida. The suns out, the wind whistles through the preserve, and an alligator strolls down the sidewalk.
“Not how I thought I was going to be spending my Saturday morning honestly, relocating an alligator,” said Carter, a resident at Altis Grand Cypress in Lutz, Florida.
A small but spunky alligator lost his way out of the preserve in the rear of the condominium complex Saturday, and traveled through some common areas towards the parking lot.
Carter grabbed a towel and a broom to help the gator turn back towards the preserve area. The broom didn’t make it as the gator snapped back was determined to have that broom for a late morning snack. Also determined to get the little guy back to safety, Carter and Alex were able to coax the gator back to the preserve and away from vehicles.
