TAMPA, Fla. – The numbers the University of South Florida Bulls have produced so far in this 2025 season are impressive. From the points and yardage that the offense has piled up to the turnovers the defense has created, Alex Golesh’s team has repeatedly sent us scurrying to look up the stats.
Here is a glimpse at some of those facts and figures the No. 18/20 Bulls (6-1/3-0 American) take into Saturday’s game (Noon, ESPN2) at Memphis.
565 – Yards the Bulls are averaging in their last seven conference games dating to last season.
476 – Yards per game the Bulls are averaging to lead the American and rank 13th nationally.
310 – Byrum Brown’s average of total yards per game, which is tied for sixth nationally.
49 – Career touchdown passes by Byrum Brown. One more and he will become the fifth USF quarterback to throw at least 50, joining Quinton Flowers (71), Marquell Blackwell (67), B.J. Daniels (52), and Matt Grothe (52).
41.7 – Points the Bulls are averaging through seven games to rank seventh nationally. The No. 1 team in the nation? North Texas (45.0), who USF defeated, 63-36, in Denton on October 10.
40 – The Bulls have scored at least 40 points in four straight games for the second time in program history.
34.4 – Margin of victory during a current five-game home win streak that dates to last season.
22 – Wins against teams from the Sunshine State. Following the FAU victory, the Bulls are 22-23 against teams from within the state’s
borders.
20 – Wins by Alex Golesh in less than three seasons. He is one behind Charlie Strong for fourth at USF.
18 – Touchdowns Byrum Brown is responsible for in the last four games. Fourteen have come through the air with four on the ground.
17 – Turnovers gained, which is tied with North Texas for the nation’s lead.
5.5 – Sacks by Mac Harris, good for second in the American.
2 – Straight games 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman Cole Skinner has plowed into the end zone from a yard out.
