ODESSA, Fla – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) fought a boathouse fire on Keystone Lake off Keystone Manor Road in Odessa on Friday morning.
According to officials, multiple calls came into the dispatch centers from individuals reporting an explosion with fire from a boathouse extending into the lake.
Crews from HCFR’s station 34 were first on the scene, confirming a working fire behind the home at 18503 Keystone Manor.

“Crews extended handlines and drove a brush truck to the rear of the residence to battle the blaze. Access to the fire was difficult, but firefighters used a ground monitor to cool the composite decking,” said HCFR.
There were no injuries, and the cause is currently under investigation.
