The body of a missing hiker from Marysville, Ohio, has been found in Alabama, bringing a tragic end to a search that began in October.
Vendula “Wendy” Rose was last seen in September when she embarked on a camping trip to Alabama. She was expected to return on October 2nd but failed to show up for work.

A hunter found Rose’s body on Saturday, approximately five miles northeast of Cheaha State Park. The Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the coroner’s office, tentatively identified the remains as those of Vendula Rose.
Authorities have stated that there is no evidence of foul play in Rose’s death. They believe she may have been experiencing a mental health crisis at the time of her disappearance. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
The Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office plans to hold a press conference on Monday to provide further details about the case.
