TAMPA, Fla. – Travelers flying out of Tampa International Airport have a few more pins to add to their maps this summer. Breeze Airways announced on Tuesday that it is adding three new nonstop destinations to its roster, along with a significant boost in flights to the Bahamas.

Starting in July, the carrier will begin shuttling passengers directly to Atlantic City, NJ, Columbus, Ohio, and Fort Lauderdale, with some introductory fares dipping as low as $40 for a one-way ticket.

The expansion specifically targets regional hubs that often lack direct connections. Service to Atlantic City and Columbus is slated to run twice weekly, while the hop down to Fort Lauderdale will see a much higher frequency, operating 13 times a week.

Beyond the new domestic lines, Breeze is also doubling down on its international reach by increasing its Tampa-to-Nassau service to four flights per week. This move comes as the airline continues to lean into its “premium leisure” niche, utilizing a fleet of new Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

Company founder David Neeleman pointed to the partnership with Tampa International as a key driver for the growth, noting that the goal is to keep travel both direct and affordable for the local market.

While the low-cost carrier model is often associated with bare-bones service, Breeze has been trying to differentiate itself with perks like high-speed Wi-Fi and no change fees.

As these new routes go live in early July, the airline looks to solidify its standing in a competitive Florida market that remains a primary focus for its nationwide network.
