A multi-agency law enforcement operation led to the arrest of 29 individuals on Friday, including a second suspect wanted in connection with a July 21 Memphis homicide.
Joseph Harris, 37, was taken into custody without incident in the 6500 block of Lurewood Lane in Oklahoma City. The arrest was carried out by the U.S. Marshals Western Oklahoma Fugitive Task Force after investigators with the Memphis Safe Task Force (MSTF) developed information regarding his location and issued a lead to local authorities.
Harris was wanted on a Shelby County homicide warrant for the July 21 shooting death of a motorcyclist near the intersection of Wilson Street and Gill Avenue in Memphis. Co-defendant Ashundra Lee was apprehended by authorities in Oklahoma City the previous day.
Friday’s arrests also included several other individuals wanted for violent offenses across multiple jurisdictions:
- Amarion Threlkeld, 18: Taken into custody at Poplar Avenue and North Danny Thomas Boulevard following negotiations between MSTF officers, Threlkeld, and his family members to coordinate a surrender. Threlkeld faces charges of criminal attempt second-degree murder, five counts of criminal attempt employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
- Christopher Warf, 52: Arrested during a traffic stop in the 7000 block of Rick’s Road in Arlington, Tennessee, based on a collateral lead provided by U.S. Marshals in Nashville. Warf was wanted on a warrant for child rape.
- Alvin Lloyd, 29: Apprehended in the 4900 block of Riverview Road NW in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Lloyd was arrested alongside four other individuals in connection with an armed robbery and the theft of $60,000 to $250,000 worth of property from a Cummins distribution facility in Memphis.
The MSTF was established following a September 15, 2025 Presidential Memorandum signed by President Donald Trump to address violent crime in the region.
The initiative integrates federal, state, and local law enforcement resources, alongside mobilized members of the Tennessee National Guard, to clear warrants, seize illegal weapons, and locate missing youth.
According to figures released by the U.S. Marshals Service, overall enforcement actions under the MSTF initiative have resulted in 11,629 total arrests. These include 118 arrests for homicide, 1,282 for controlled substances, 1,180 for firearms violations, and 116 for sex offenses.
Official totals show 344 juveniles and 1,258 documented gang members among those arrested, along with the recovery of 2,002 illegal firearms and the location of 185 missing children.
