TAMPA, Fla. – One man has died after being shot early Thursday morning in Tampa.
According to police, at around 2:30 AM, officers responded to gunshots near the 2400 block of E. Columbus Drive.
Officers located an adult Hispanic male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and immediately provided first aid. Tampa Fire Rescue responded to transport the victim to a nearby hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Investigators say that while it’s very early in the investigation, this does not appear to be a random act. Detectives are currently working to develop leads in this case.
