HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – One person has died in a single-vehicle crash that happened just after 7:00 am. on Friday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say an SUV was traveling southbound in the inside lane on I-75, near Milepost 247, when the driver, a 31-year-old Plant City man, lost control of the vehicle and overturned multiple times, during which a passenger was ejected and suffered fatal injuries.
Troopers say the passenger who was killed was a male victim, but have not commented on his age or where he is from. The driver sustained serious injuries.
Three other passengers, all from Dover ages 19, 34, and 27, all suffered minor injuries in the crash.
