One Person Shot In St. Pete, Portion Of 18th Ave Closed

ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – Police in St. Petersburg are investigating a shooting that happened before noon on Tuesday.

According to investigators, at 11:25 a.m., police responded to a person shot near a bus stop at 18th Avenue South and Union Street. The victim, a young adult man, was taken to the hospital by family-friends.

Police say the victim has non-life threatening injures.

18th Avenue South is closed to traffic from 21st St. to 22nd St. for the duration of the investigation.

No suspect has been arrested, according to police.
