CLEARWATER, FL. – Clearwater Police Department and Clearwater Fire and Rescue responded to a crash on Thursday at 1:41 pm that happened in the 1200 block of Gulf Boulevard.
The crash involved an adult female, who was struck by a vehicle. Police say the woman was airlifted to the hospital in a “critical status”, but died from injuries suffered in the crash.
Police have identified the woman as 80-year-old Marianne Meichennaum.
The Clearwater Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Team will investigate the crash but say that impairment is not believed to be a factor in this crash.
