Openings on Pasco County Planning Commission

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco County is looking for three volunteers to join Pasco’s Planning Commission (PC). 

Ideal candidates will represent diverse knowledge and expertise in the areas of engineering, planning, real estate, surveying, property management, architecture, construction and other related fields.

Applications are being accepted through March 10, 2021.

Planning Commission members review and make recommendations to the Pasco Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendments, Zoning Amendments, Conditional Use Permit Applications, Development Orders, Development Agreements, Operating Permits and other development applications. 

Other responsibilities could include hearing and issuing final determinations on all Variances, Alternative Standards, certain Appeals and Special Exception Applications.

The BCC plans to appoint three members to the Planning Commission to fill vacancies.

Planning Commission meetings are generally held twice a month, on Thursday afternoons at 1:30.  Meeting locations alternate between Dade City and New Port Richey.
