Openings on Pasco’s New Northeast Rural Advisory Committee

PASCO COUNTY, FL  – Pasco County is looking for 13 people to serve as policy advisors on the new Northeast Pasco County Rural Advisory Committee (NERAC), established by the Pasco Board of County Commissioners (BCC) in March 2021, to help shape commercial development in Northeast Pasco.

Committee members will evaluate policies and regulations related to the Northeast Pasco Rural Protection Overlay District and use their expertise, knowledge, and unique skills to recommend commercial development design standards and guidelines to the BCC.

Applications are being accepted through May 14, 2021.

NERAC members must:

  • Be a Northeast Pasco County rural area stakeholder OR
  • Have a background in rural land use regulation/development or a related field

The BCC will appoint 13 members to the Northeast Pasco County Rural Advisory Committee.  Members will volunteer on the committee until a final recommendation is made to the BCC, at which point, the NERAC will automatically be disbanded.
