Drivers across the Sunshine State are starting the week with significantly more cash in their pockets. Florida gas prices have been in a freefall over the last ten days, dropping 17 cents to settle at a state average of $2.69 per gallon on Sunday.

According to new data from AAA, that price point marks the lowest daily average in Florida since March 2021.

The relief at the pump has been swift and substantial. The current state average is down 14 cents from just one week ago and is 17 cents cheaper than last month. Looking at the bigger picture, Floridians are paying roughly 44 cents less per gallon than they were at this time last year.

Interestingly, the drop at the pump comes despite a slight uptick in the crude oil market. The price of U.S. crude finished the week higher, closing Friday at $59.12 per barrel—an increase of $1.80, or 3 percent.

Not all drivers are seeing the same savings, however. The Panhandle currently boasts the most affordable fuel in the state.

  • Least Expensive Markets: Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.50), Panama City ($2.52), and Pensacola ($2.55).
  • Most Expensive Markets: West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($2.88), Gainesville ($2.80), and Naples ($2.77).
