MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Federal prosecutors have unsealed an indictment charging a Palatka man with robbing a bank earlier this year. Jordon Roger Anchando, 46, is accused of taking money from a federally insured institution on June 2, 2025, using force, violence, and intimidation.
United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the charges following Anchando’s arrest on November 18. He remains in detention pending the resolution of the case.
If convicted, Anchando could face a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison.

The investigation was a joint effort involving three agencies:
- The Belleview Police Department
- The Marion County Sheriff’s Office
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Assistant United States Attorney Sarah Janette Swartzberg will prosecute the case. Officials emphasized that an indictment is merely a formal charge, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
