PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 68-year-old Palm Harbor woman died Friday afternoon after being struck by an SUV, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
State troopers reported that the incident occurred on May 15, 2026, at approximately 2:00 PM. A 45-year-old woman from New Port Richey was driving a Jeep Wrangler northbound on Epiphany Way in Trinity.
As the vehicle approached the intersection of Tryfon Boulevard, it collided with the pedestrian, who was walking westbound.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, but the Palm Harbor woman had already suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash site.

The Florida Highway Patrol has not yet released the names of either the driver or the victim, and the investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing.
