Pasco County 2023 Great American Cleanup Collects 14.5 Tons Of Trash

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A record number of Pasco County volunteers picked up nearly 29,000 pounds of trash throughout the county during the 2023 Great American Cleanup!

During the March 4 event, around 800 volunteers fanned out in public spaces – along roadsides and around waterways – covering 43 locations in Pasco County, including Dade City, Port Richey, New Port Richey, Wesley Chapel, and Hudson.

Here’s a breakdown:

  • 28,957 pounds (14.48 tons) of trash
  • 43 locations throughout Pasco County
  • 780 volunteers
  • 2,080 volunteer hours logged 
  • $62K cost-benefit
