Parents looking to keep their kids busy this summer have a new set of options as the UF/IFAS Pasco County Cooperative Extension officially opens registration for its 2026 4-H Summer Day Camps.
Running throughout June and July, the program offers a variety of hands-on activities for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 18. The camps are scheduled to take place at several locations across Pasco County, with daily sessions typically running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of interests, ranging from creative arts to technical outdoor skills.

According to the program announcement, “The program is designed to explore science, art, cooking, gardening, animals and a whole lot more!” Specific activities listed for this year include grilling, horseback riding, science experiments, insect education, and traditional arts and crafts.
Organizers noted that space for these sessions is limited and encourage early sign-ups to secure a spot. Registration costs vary depending on the specific camp, with prices ranging from $30 to $34 per child.
