Pasco County BOCC To Consider ‘Kumquat Pie’ The Official Pie Of Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, FL – On February 8, 2022, the Pasco Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will consider a resolution to make kumquat pie the official pie of Pasco County.

“Pasco is known for its annual Kumquat Festival, which attracts tens of thousands of people from all over Florida.  The tiny fruit plays a big role in Pasco, and we’re ready to make kumquat pie – our official pie,” said PIO Ryan Hughes in a statement.

Commissioner Mike Moore is sponsoring the resolution to make kumquat pie the official pie of Pasco.

The Tourist Development Council for Experience Florida’s Sports Coast voted January 26, 2022, to make the pie the official pie of the destination.

Now this resolution would make the citrus-like dessert the official pie for Pasco.
