PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Two young brothers from Pasco County are being celebrated as heroes for their quick thinking and bravery that saved their mother’s life after a terrifying accident.
Thirteen-year-old Landon and 12-year-old Andrew were helping their mother with chores outside their home on September 19th when tragedy struck. A tree branch unexpectedly snapped, falling and striking their mother with devastating force. She sustained severe head and neck injuries.
Without hesitation, the boys sprang into action. They carefully freed their mother from the fallen branch, called 911, and even administered CPR while keeping their younger siblings, ages 4 and 8, safe inside the house. Their courageous actions and composure in the face of crisis were instrumental in saving their mother’s life.

Their mother has since undergone two brain surgeries and is on the road to recovery, thanks to her sons’ heroic efforts.
The brothers’ heroism comes amidst a challenging time for the family, who recently lost their home to Hurricane Helene. Despite these hardships, Landon and Andrew remain pillars of strength, balancing their mother’s recovery with school and their responsibilities on the football team.
Over the weekend, the Pasco County community honored Landon and Andrew with Certificates of Appreciation and commemorative challenge coins, recognizing their extraordinary bravery and resilience.
“Landon and Andrew truly represent the best of Pasco County, and we are beyond proud to call them hometown heroes,” said Pasco County Fire Rescue.
