The child has been flow to St. Joes Hospital in Tampa for treatment

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A child is listed as a trauma alert after being stabbed in the chest by a catfish on Monday.

While the child was being transported to the hospital by their mother, Pasco Fire Rescue said the child experienced difficulty breathing.

Firefighters responded to the scene in New Port Richey and listed the child as a trauma alert.

“The child has been flown to St. Joes Hospital in Tampa for treatment,” said Pasco Fire Rescue.
