Pasco County Cleanup Event Removes Nearly 34 Tons Of Trash

HOLIDAY, Fla. – Volunteers make the Buena Vista area of Pasco County a whole lot cleaner.

Pasco County’s Code Compliance and Solid Waste teams worked together during a recent cleanup event to get rid of nearly 34 tons of trash!

Here’s what was collected:

  • Hazmat Materials: 1,060 pounds
  • Solid Waste Debris: 33.35 tons

“I’m happy to be able to support the local community with their efforts to keep their neighborhood beautiful,” said Board of County Commissioners Chair Kathryn Starkey.  “Without the dedication and hard work of our Code Compliance, Solid Waste and Public Works teams, this tremendous effort wouldn’t have been possible.”

Pasco County hosts community cleanup events to give customers a convenient opportunity to get rid of trash, debris and hazardous materials that might otherwise lead to code violations or illegal dumping.
