LAKELAND, Fla. – Polk County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Land O’ Lakes man Tuesday afternoon on an active warrant for drug trafficking and other offenses.
Shawn Louis Sutter, 46, was taken into custody around 4:11 p.m. at a residence located on Deeson Road in Lakeland. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the home to locate Sutter, who was wanted for violation of pre-trial release on charges of trafficking amphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Upon arrival, a deputy spoke with a resident at the home who confirmed that Sutter was inside. Deputies located Sutter in a bedroom, where he was arrested without incident.
Sutter was transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center and booked on the active warrant.
Records show Sutter has a prior criminal history including criminal mischief, burglary of an occupied structure, grand theft, aggravated battery, carrying a concealed weapon, making a false report to a law enforcement officer, possession of cocaine, and reckless driving.
He previously served a sentence of one year and one day in Florida State Prison.
