PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco County government officials have activated multiple sandbag stations across the region in anticipation of heavy rainfall and potential flooding this weekend. The initiative aims to help residents protect properties located in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Two self-serve locations are currently operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. These stations are located at the Pasco County Public Works C-Barn at 30908 Warder Road in San Antonio and the Magnolia Valley Golf Course at 7223 Massachusetts Avenue in New Port Richey.
Owing to the heightened risk of inland and river flooding, county officials are opening a third site starting Friday, July 17.
This additional station will operate daily from sunrise to sunset at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 14333 Hicks Road in Hudson. The park site will remain open until further notice.
All designated locations are strictly self-serve and restricted to Pasco County residents. County crews plan to restock the sand supplies daily, provided that weather conditions permit safe operations. Residents planning to use the sites must bring their own shovels and are responsible for filling their own bags.
