PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A massive community effort is coming to Dade City next month to help local families put food on the table. On Thursday, March 5, several prominent local organizations will host a free food distribution event at the Boys & Girls Club of Lacoochee, located at 38724 Mudcat Grant Blvd.

The initiative is a broad collaboration featuring the Pasco Sheriff’s Office and Pasco Sheriff’s Charities working alongside Farm Share, a major Florida non-profit known for distributing fresh produce. They are also joined by the Boys & Girls Club of Lacoochee, the Gentlemen’s Course, and the Pasco County NAACP to ensure the resource reaches as many residents as possible.

The event opens at 9:00 a.m., but organizers encourage people to arrive well before then. The distribution is strictly first-come, first-served, and supplies are expected to move quickly given the high demand for such services in the area.

By pooling their resources, these law enforcement, charitable, and advocacy groups aim to provide a direct link between available food supplies and the citizens who need them most.

There are no reported eligibility requirements for those looking to attend, though items will be handed out until they run out. For residents in the Lacoochee and greater Dade City area, this marks another significant push by local leaders to address food security through direct community outreach.
