PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is strongly recommending that residents in low-lying areas prone to flooding evacuate their homes immediately. Heavy rain from Hurricane Milton is causing river flooding in these areas:
- Cypress Creek: Near State Road 54 in Lutz/Wesley Chapel
- Anclote River: In Elfers

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is forecasting continued flooding along these rivers. Residents should monitor the situation closely and heed any evacuation orders.
If you need a safe place to stay, the following shelters are open:
- Fasano Regional Hurricane Center, 11611 Denton Avenue, Hudson (Special Needs Only)
- River Ridge Middle and High Schools, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey

Numerous roads throughout the county are flooded and impassable. Drivers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and exercise extreme caution if they must be on the roads. Never attempt to drive through floodwaters.
