PASCO COUNTY, FL  – You still have time to make Pasco count!  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States Census Bureau is extending the 2020 Census self-response deadline to October 31, 2020.  This nationwide population count comes every ten years, and an accurate count allows Pasco County to be fairly represented congressionally and awarded maximum funding for the places, programs, and services you count on.

To date, Pasco County has counted about 60 percent of its households.  The Census is available online at, over the phone, and by mail, making participation easier than ever.  For each under-counted person, $946 is lost; which can mean missing out on millions in federal funding for Pasco County services, including:

The Census survey collects basic statistical information
.  The Census does not ask for Social Security Numbers, citizenship status, or any other sensitive personal information.

Census responses are secure, confidential, and protected by law – no personal information can be shared with anyone, including other government agencies.  For additional security information, visit the FAQ website.

Our goal is 100 percent participation – Pasco County has seen exceptional growth over the past decade and needs the funding to support the communities and citizens we serve.  Billions of dollars in federal aid is guided by this count.  Ten minutes of your time can help shape the next ten years in your community.
