Property owners urged to act quickly as $3 million fee waiver program concludes July 31st.
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Time is running out for Pasco County property owners to take advantage of waived fees for storm-related repair permits.
With the 2025 hurricane season now underway and recovery efforts from last fall’s Hurricanes Helene and Milton making significant progress, Pasco County will resume collecting fees for building permits related to storm damage starting August 1, 2025. This move aims to support ongoing county services crucial for continued recovery and future preparedness.

Since Hurricanes Helene and Milton caused billions of dollars in property damage across the county, Pasco has generously waived approximately $3 million in storm-related permitting fees, providing much-needed relief to affected residents. However, this waiver is set to expire on July 31, 2025.
Property owners who still require permits for repairs stemming from these hurricanes are strongly encouraged to apply by the deadline to avoid incurring new fees.
Pasco County’s Building Construction Services team is prepared to assist with applications, with permitting technicians available to guide residents through the process. It is vital that all forms are completed properly before August 1st to ensure eligibility for the fee waiver.
