PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers hitting the roads in Pasco County this week will need to watch for construction crews and changing traffic patterns. The Florida Department of Transportation District 7 has announced a series of lane closures and flagging operations running from June 14 to June 20, 2026.
Nighttime travelers on Interstate 75 will see changes at Exit 285. One of the two lanes on the northbound off-ramp to State Road 52 will be closed starting Sunday, June 14, through Thursday, June 18. This closure runs from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night, though drivers will still be able to make turns in both directions. In the same general area, SR 52 will experience nighttime lane closures from west of I-75 to Tradeway Boulevard and Pasco Road during those exact same days and hours.
Several areas are currently dealing with around-the-clock closures that will remain in place until further notice. On U.S. 301, the southbound right lane is shut down continuously from Kingsmere Road to Wire Road. On SR 52, the westbound left lane is closed 24/7 around the Suncoast Parkway (SR 589) area. Additionally, the eastbound left turn lane from SR 52 onto the northbound Suncoast Parkway is dealing with a continuous partial lane closure on its west end.
U.S. 98 has a few different projects scheduled. A quick traffic shift and flagging operation will happen between Old Lakeland Highway and Prairie Drive starting Sunday at 7 p.m. and wrapping up by 5 a.m. Monday. Later in the week, drivers on U.S. 98 between County Road 54 and Townsend Road will face periodic daytime lane closures and flagging from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
If you drive U.S. 41 (Land O’ Lakes Boulevard) near Lake Patience Road, expect daytime lane closures Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Further east on SR 39, just south of Chancey Road, crews will be flagging traffic and closing lanes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Work on SR 54 will impact both day and night drivers. Near Altamont Lane, night lane closures will happen Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Meanwhile, daytime drivers near Henley Road will encounter lane closures Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Those exiting the southbound Suncoast Parkway onto SR 52 will find part or all of the right turn lane closed Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but turns will still be permitted. Finally, County Road 54 will have lane closures and flagging between Flint Drive and U.S. 301 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
