FDOT District 7 Announces Extensive Roadwork Across Major Thoroughfares from July 20-26
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco County commuters should prepare for a week of significant traffic impacts as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has announced numerous lane closures across the county’s major roadways from Sunday, July 20, through Saturday, July 26, 2025. Drivers are advised to plan for potential delays and seek alternate routes where possible.
US 19 will see multiple periodic lane closures throughout the week. From Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, motorists can expect closures approaching and through the San Marco Drive/Johnson Road intersection, as well as between Elizabeth Avenue and Edna Avenue, both from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, US 19 at Charlene Lane will experience closures Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Travel on US 98 will also be affected. Periodic lane closures and flagging operations are scheduled in the Hillsborough River bridge area (approximately 1.5 miles north of CR 54) and in the Old Lakeland Highway area, both from Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A more substantial impact on US 98 (Dade City Bypass) from north of River Road to Martin Luther King Boulevard will see the southbound lanes closed and detoured to 7th Street 24 hours per day, a closure expected to remain in effect through approximately September 2025.
Nighttime work will impact several key routes. US 41 (Land O’ Lakes Blvd) from Willow Bend Parkway/County Line Road to Bell Lake Road will have lane closures nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, July 20, through Thursday, July 24.

SR 54 will be a particular focus of roadwork. From Marathon Road to east of Gunn Highway, lane closures are scheduled Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastbound lanes of SR 54 from east of Gunn Highway to east of Crossings Boulevard will see nighttime closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, July 20, through Thursday, July 24. Further west on SR 54, at the Seven Springs Boulevard/Rowan Road intersection, nighttime closures through the intersection are planned Monday, July 21, through Thursday, July 24, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Finally, SR 54 from US 41 to east of Knight Road will have nighttime lane closures from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday, July 20, through Thursday, July 24.
