PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists traveling through Pasco County should prepare for a series of traffic shifts and potential delays as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 begins a full week of scheduled maintenance and construction.

Starting Sunday, February 8, and running through Friday, February 14, several major thoroughfares—including US 19, SR 54, and US 98—will see various lane closures during both daytime and overnight hours.

US 19 will be a primary focus for crews this week. Drivers near Marine Parkway should expect night work, with lane closures scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday night and lasting through Thursday. Further north at Charlene Lane, the work shifts to the daytime; lane closures are planned from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday and concluding Friday.

Significant activity is also slated for SR 54. Eastbound travelers near the US 41 intersection will encounter night lane closures from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Meanwhile, the stretch of SR 54 from west of Virginia City Drive to Old Mill Pond Drive will undergo daytime lane closures between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

In the eastern part of the county, flaggers will be managing traffic on both US 98 and CR 54. On US 98, between CR 54 and Townsend Road, periodic closures and flagging operations are set for 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. all week.

Similar flagging operations will occur on CR 54 from west of Flint Drive to US 301 (Gall Boulevard) during the same daytime hours. Commuters are encouraged to allow extra travel time or seek alternate routes to avoid congestion
