PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has issued an extensive summary of lane closures and road work for Pasco County taking place from Sunday, October 26, through Friday, November 1, 2025.
Motorists should anticipate significant delays, especially on major thoroughfares including US 19, US 98, and SR 54, and plan their commutes accordingly.
Major Work on US 19 and US 98
Multiple segments of US 19 will be affected by daytime closures throughout the work week.
- US 19 at Charlene Lane and the stretch from Anclote to north of Louis Ave will see lane closures from Monday, October 27, through Friday, October 31, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Overnight work is scheduled for US 19 at Marine Parkway from Sunday, October 26, through Thursday, October 30, nights between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Drivers on US 98 will encounter periodic lane closures/flagging operations in two separate areas:
- Between CR 54 and the Hillsborough River bridge (about 1.5 miles north of CR 54).
- Between Old Lakeland Highway and Townsend Road.
Both segments will be impacted from Monday, October 27, through Friday, October 31, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Extended Closures and Detours
A long-term closure remains in effect for 7th Street (south end) at US 98/US 301. Access to and from US 98/US 301 is closed and detoured to the US 98 Bypass. This closure is in place 24 hours per day and is expected to continue through approximately February 2026.
Extensive Work Scheduled for SR 54
SR 54 has the most comprehensive work scheduled, with several segments facing both daytime and nighttime lane closures throughout the week.
Motorists should be prepared for both night lane closures (Sunday, October 26, through Thursday, October 30, nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and day lane closures (Monday, October 27, through Friday, October 31) in the following areas:
- From west of Virginia City Drive to Old Mill Pond Drive: Day closures run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- From east of Gunn Highway to east of Crossings Boulevard: Day closures run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
An additional segment of SR 54 from Marathon Road to east of Gunn Highway will see slightly longer daytime closures, running from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in addition to the standard overnight schedule.
