PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers in Pasco County should prepare for a busy week on the roads as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 kicks off a heavy schedule of maintenance and construction starting Sunday, March 29.
From overnight flagging operations to a long-term intersection closure, the upcoming week through April 4 will see significant shifts in traffic patterns across several major corridors.
Commuters on US 19 will face two different sets of delays. Near Charlene Lane, crews will be active Monday through Friday, March 30 to April 3, with lane closures scheduled during the day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Further south at Marine Parkway, the work moves to the night shift.
Motorists should expect lane closures from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday night, March 29, and running through Thursday morning.
On US 98, the impact is even more widespread. Between CR 54 and Townsend Road, drivers will encounter periodic lane closures and flagging operations from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the work week.

Those traveling US 98 north of CR 54 toward the Hillsborough River Bridge need to watch for traffic switches and night work on Thursday and Friday, April 2 and 3, between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. During those same hours, the US 98 and CR 54 intersection will also be under flagging control.
State Road 39 will see its share of activity near Chancey Road. Nightly flagging operations are scheduled from Wednesday, April 1, through Friday, April 3, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Travelers should note that law enforcement officers will be on-site to direct traffic at the SR 39 and Chancey Road intersection during these hours.
One of the most significant changes involves the SR 575 intersection on the east side of US 301. Access to and from US 301 at this location is now closed around-the-clock, a restriction that is expected to remain in place through July 2026.
Additionally, those using the Suncoast Parkway (SR 589) should be aware that the southbound exit ramp to SR 52 will have partial or full right-turn lane closures from March 30 to April 3, between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. While turns will still be permitted, the restricted lane space may cause backups.
Finally, night crews will be working on CR 54 from west of Flint Drive to US 301 on April 1 and 2, with flagging operations running from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
