PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers in eastern Pasco County should prepare for overnight detours next week as road crews work near Interstate 75.
The westbound State Road 52 entrance ramp onto northbound I-75 may be closed from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. nightly starting Monday, August 31, and running through Wednesday night, September 2. All work depends on the weather.
Eastbound SR 52 drivers looking to head north on I-75 will not be affected, as that entrance ramp is scheduled to stay open while the westbound ramp is shut down.
Transportation officials have established an official detour for westbound travelers needing northbound access. Drivers will be directed to continue west past the closed ramp and take the loop entrance ramp onto southbound I-75. From there, motorists will travel south to Exit 282, head east on Overpass Road over the interstate, and then make a left turn onto the northbound I-75 entrance ramp.
Motorists who commute through the area during those overnight hours are advised to build extra time into their travel plans to navigate the detour route.
