THE BREAKDOWN: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced an extensive list of lane closures, flagging operations, and ramp disruptions across Pasco County from June 21 to June 27, 2026. Major routes impacted include I-75, US 41, US 98, US 301, and State Roads 52, 54, and 589, alongside a long-term trailhead closure lasting into 2027.
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco County drivers are facing a busy week of construction delays as the Florida Department of Transportation District 7 rolls out its maintenance and construction schedule for June 21 through June 27, 2026. The planned work spans major highways, state roads, and local connectors, bringing a mix of overnight lane restrictions, daytime flagging operations, and long-term, round-the-clock closures.
Commuters relying on Interstate 75 will see nighttime disruptions at Exit 285 to State Road 52. From Sunday, June 21 through Thursday, June 25, one of the two lanes on the ramp will close each night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., though turns will remain available in both directions.
Nearby, State Road 52 itself will see night closures from west of I-75 to Tradeway Boulevard and Pasco Road during those same hours. Additionally, several long-term 24/7 closures are now in place on State Road 52, including the westbound left lane near the Suncoast Parkway (State Road 589) and a partial closure of the eastbound left-turn lane onto northbound State Road 589.
Major US routes through the county are also heavily impacted. On US 41 (Land O’ Lakes Boulevard), daytime lane closures are scheduled at Lake Patience Road from Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26, running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. US 98 will feature periodic lane closures and flagging operations between County Road 54 and Townsend Road from Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. A more intensive overnight operation on US 98 is set for Wednesday, June 24, starting at 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, stretching from the Hillsborough River Bridge to south of Stanton Hall Drive. This window will feature a southbound traffic switch alongside flagging and lane closures.
On US 301, the southbound right lane from Kingsmere Road to Wire Road remains closed around-the-clock until further notice. At the Wire Road intersection, northbound drivers will face partial right-turn lane closures on Tuesday, June 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Later in the week, on Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26, that same turn lane will be partially closed again, and the acceleration lane from Wire Road to northbound US 301 will be entirely shut down during those same daytime hours.
State Road 54 and State Road 589 (Suncoast Parkway) commuters should prepare for multiple chokepoints. State Road 54 will experience night closures at Altamont Lane from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. starting Sunday, June 21 through Thursday night. Daytime closures will hit State Road 54 at Henley Road from Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Meanwhile, the State Road 54 entrance ramp onto the Suncoast Parkway will see a partial closure of its right shoulder and merge lane from Monday, June 22 through Saturday, June 27, between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., though full access to the parkway remains open.
The Suncoast Parkway itself features ramp restrictions. The southbound exit ramp to State Road 54 will have a partial right-turn lane closure, and the southbound exit ramp to State Road 52 will have partial or total right-turn lane closures. Both will run daily from Monday, June 22 through Saturday, June 27, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with turns remaining available.
Other regional corridors will see shorter or more localized disruptions. State Road 39 from Chancey Road to south of Weicht Road is scheduled for overnight lane closures and flagging on Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. County Road 54 will undergo daytime lane closures and flagging from west of Flint Drive to US 301 (Gall Boulevard) Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday night, June 26, Old Lakeland Highway (Alternate Pasco CR 35) under US 98 will have lane closures and flagging from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday.
Finally, recreational trail users face a significant long-term disruption. Starting Monday, June 22, access to the Suncoast Trail Trailhead via Touchpoint Drive will be closed around-the-clock, with the restriction expected to last well into summer 2027.
