PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers traveling through Pasco County next week should prepare for a series of lane closures affecting some of the region’s busiest corridors. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 released its construction summary for the week of January 18 through January 24, 2026, highlighting significant activity on US 19, State Road 54, and US 98.

Commuters on US 19 will face delays during both morning and evening hours. Crews are scheduled to close lanes at Charlene Lane from Monday, January 19, through Friday, January 23, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Nighttime travelers near Marine Parkway should also exercise caution, as closures are planned from Sunday night, January 18, through Thursday, January 22, running from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. each following morning.

Significant work is also targeting State Road 54, a critical east-west artery. The stretch from west of Virginia City Drive to Old Mill Pond Drive will see double shifts of construction. Nighttime lane closures are set for Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., while daytime closures will occur Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Further east on SR 54, motorists can expect daytime disruptions from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the work week between Marathon Road and just east of Crossings Boulevard. Additionally, eastbound drivers approaching the intersection of SR 54 and US 41 will encounter lane closures overnight from Sunday through Thursday, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

US 98 will see periodic flagging operations, likely causing stop-and-go traffic. These operations will take place Tuesday, January 20, through Friday, January 23, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in two specific zones: between CR 54 and the Hillsborough River bridge, and between Old Lakeland Highway and Townsend Road.

  • Clinton Avenue: Nighttime drivers between Cindy Lane and Hilltop Farms Drive should expect delays Tuesday through Thursday, with work scheduled from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time or seek alternate routes during these construction windows.
