PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers across Pasco County are facing a series of late-night and daytime delays as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) kicks off a heavy week of maintenance and roadwork starting Sunday, May 3.
From major interstate exits to local business corridors, District 7 has confirmed multiple lane closures that will stretch through Saturday, May 9.
The most significant impact for commuters begins at the I-75 and SR 52 interchange. Starting Sunday night, one of the two lanes on the northbound Exit 285 ramp will be shut down between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
While turns will remain available in both directions, motorists should expect backups through Thursday morning. Nearby, SR 52 itself will see eastbound-only lane closures from west of I-75 to Tradeway Boulevard during the same overnight hours.

Coastal commuters aren’t catching a break either. US 19 will see daytime work at Charlene Lane with closures running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Further south at Marine Parkway, the work shifts to the night shift, with lanes closing from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday.
In the eastern part of the county, US 98 will be under periodic flagging operations between CR 54 and Townsend Road during the day, while the Dade City Bypass will see single-lane closures at night near the 7th Street roundabout. Similar flagging operations are scheduled for CR 54 near US 301 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Rounding out the list, the SR 589 (Suncoast Parkway) southbound exit to SR 52 will have its right-turn lane partially obstructed during the day from Monday through Saturday, though turns will still be permitted.
Finally, SR 54 at Altamont Lane will undergo twelve-hour nightly closures starting at 7 p.m. throughout the week. FDOT advises all residents to plan for extra travel time and to remain alert for workers in these construction zones.
