RIVERVIEW, Fla. – Hillsborough County will celebrate the opening of its newest conservation park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 17.

Pebble Park, 9955 Riverview Dr., Riverview, FL 33578, encompasses 27 acres formerly owned by The Mosaic Company and borders the Alafia River.

The park will have three-quarters of a mile of paved and natural-surface trails, large pavilions with picnic tables, and a butterfly garden built by a local Brownie troop.

The project also includes approximately 500 native trees and plants, restrooms, lighted parking, and drainage improvements. A boardwalk near the river is planned for the site.

Pebble Park soon will include a Native American-inspired statue created by Milligan Studios in collaboration with artists and craftspeople of the Seminole Tribe.

The new park is one of the locations for the Hiking Spree, which began Nov. 1 and runs through March 31, 2023.
