Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Struck By Motorcycle On US-19 In Tarpon Springs

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – A male pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a motorcycle while crossing US Highway 19 North late Saturday night, according to the Tarpon Springs Police Department.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, in front of the address 40347 US 19. Tarpon Springs Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a male pedestrian was crossing US 19 from the east to the west side of the road when he was hit by a northbound 2010 Honda motorcycle. Authorities noted there are no crosswalks in that specific area.

The pedestrian suffered critical, life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center in Hudson. Police have identified the male but are currently withholding his name pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 27-year-old Daniel Outlaw, also sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to Bayonet Medical Center.

The Tarpon Springs Police Traffic Homicide unit is investigating the incident. As of this time, the crash remains under investigation, and police have stated there is no evidence of impaired driving on the part of the motorcyclist.
