Pennsylvania 10-Year-Old Faces Armed Robbery And Assault Charges After Dollar Tree Stabbing

A late-afternoon trip to a local discount store turned violent on Monday, June 29, 2026, when a ten-year-old boy allegedly attempted an armed robbery and stabbed a store employee.

According to the Swatara Township Police Department, officers responded to a call regarding a knife-involved robbery at the Dollar Tree located at 3243 Paxton Street at approximately 5:06 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found store workers holding down a male juvenile.

Witnesses told investigators that the young boy walked into the establishment brandishing a fixed-blade knife. He then approached an employee, threatened her, and demanded money.

Seeing their co-worker in danger, other Dollar Tree employees stepped in to help. The staff managed to disarm and hold the boy until law enforcement arrived.
