A 24-year-old Pennsylvania woman is facing federal assault charges after prosecutors say she followed immigration officers back to their headquarters and spat on them during a heated confrontation.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced Tuesday that a federal grand jury has indicted Dominique Harris, of Williamsport, on two counts of assaulting a federal officer.

The charges stem from a November 30, 2025, incident involving Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents. According to U.S. Attorney Brian D. Miller, Deportation Officers were in Williamsport conducting a routine investigation that ended in the arrest of an individual for immigration offenses.

Authorities allege Harris interfered with the officers at the scene of that initial arrest. Matters escalated when she reportedly followed the government vehicle back to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.

Once there, prosecutors say Harris attempted to drive her car through a secure gate to enter the premises. When officers approached her vehicle to intervene, she allegedly became belligerent and spat on two of them.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Geoffrey W. MacArthur following an investigation by ICE and Removal Operations.

Officials noted the indictment falls under “Operation Take Back America,” a Department of Justice initiative focused on combating illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations.

If convicted, Harris faces a maximum penalty of eight years in federal prison, along with potential fines and supervised release.
