Pinellas County Commission extends State of Local Emergency through Oct. 2

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. – The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners today, extended its State of Local Emergency for COVID-19 through Oct. 2 and delegated the authority for future extensions to County Administrator Barry A. Burton until further notice.

By state law, the emergency declaration must be extended every seven days to remain in effect.

The extension keeps in an effect an ordinance requiring face coverings and social distancing within public places.
