Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop when the driver, later identified as 25-year-old Jarmarquel Boone, fled westbound on 54th Avenue North. Deputies initiated a pursuit, continuing northbound on Park Street where a precision immobilization technique (PIT) was attempted by deputies.

However, Boone was able to continue north, and deputies subsequently ended the pursuit with a successful PIT maneuver just north of 62nd Avenue on Park Street.

According to deputies, once the vehicle was stopped, Boone, 24-year-old Jeremiah Lewis, 23-year-old Javon Threat, and 20-year-old Mikhail Hines fled on foot northbound.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit was deployed and took all four suspects into custody.
