PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers moving between Clearwater and Oldsmar will need to keep following detours for several more weeks as road crews continue utility and drainage work along State Road 586.
Access from Curlew Road to Bayside Boulevard is scheduled to remain closed through the end of September, weather permitting, according to officials.
Motorists heading toward Bayside Boulevard must continue detouring around the active work zone by using Tampa Road (State Road 584), Oakleaf Boulevard, and Peppertree Drive.
Transportation officials advise drivers to use extra caution in the corridor and watch for construction workers, cyclists, and pedestrians near the work zone.
The continued closure is required for crews to finish drainage improvements along Curlew Road, part of a wider project spanning from Countryside Boulevard to Tampa Road in Pinellas County.
