Pinellas Park: Man Found Dead In Vacant Lot, Investigation Underway

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – On Thursday, at approximately 11:05 a.m. Pinellas Park Police patrol units responded to 6141 102nd Avenue N. Pinellas Park, regarding a check welfare call.

Upon arrival officers located a deceased adult male lying in a small patch of woods located on the west side of a vacant lot.

Detectives are currently on scene and investigating the circumstances that lead up to the subject’s death. The adult male appears to be homeless and his identification is still pending along with the next of kin notification.

Detectives are working with the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine how the adult male subject died.

The investigation is ongoing and is still in the early stages at this time and no other information is available to be released. An update will be sent when additional information becomes available.
