PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A Wednesday morning search warrant at Kevin’s Motel ended with four people in handcuffs and a significant haul of narcotics off the street. Pinellas Park Police detectives, assisted by the SWAT team, arrived on the property at 6801 Haines Road in the early hours of March 4th after an investigation into reports of drug sales on the premises.
The investigation centered on room-based sales of methamphetamine and fentanyl. Authorities identified 43-year-old Malcolm Danford as the primary individual selling the substances. During the raid, detectives seized trafficking quantities of meth and fentanyl, along with various prescription opiate pills and marijuana.
Danford faces a long list of charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl and marijuana with intent to sell, and operating a drug house. Records show he was also charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of hydromorphone and oxycodone.
Three women were also taken into custody during the operation. Jamie L. Ruocco, 46, was charged with the sale and possession of fentanyl. Taryn A. Carr, 35, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for providing a false name to law enforcement, while Farrah L. Billings, 36, was charged with felony prostitution. Booking photos were not yet available.
All four individuals were transported to the Pinellas County Jail following the scene’s processing. Police confirmed the investigation began after receiving specific tips about narcotics activity at the motel location.
