POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person caught on camera taking holiday decorations from an apartment complex in Davenport. The incident, classified as a petit theft, took place on March 1, 2026, at the Hadley Luxury Apartments, located near the busy intersection of US 27 and I-4.
According to investigators, the suspect approached a resident’s front door at approximately 12:15 p.m. Surveillance footage shows the individual taking three decorative pink skeletons that were on display.
The total value of the items was not specified, but the act was recorded and is currently being used as the primary lead in case 26-9098.
Detective Lang is leading the investigation into the theft. The Sheriff’s Office has requested that anyone who recognizes the individual or has information regarding the whereabouts of the items contact the detective directly at 863-236-3900 or via email at ALang@polksheriff.org.
