PLANT CITY, Fla. – A 29-year-old man from Plant City died early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle on US-92. According to official reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 1:00 AM on March 15, 2026.
Investigators state that a 26-year-old Plant City woman was driving a Toyota Tacoma westbound on the highway. As the vehicle traveled just east of Charlie Taylor Road, the pedestrian attempted to cross the lanes of traffic. The man entered the direct path of the oncoming truck and was hit.
First responders arrived at the scene shortly after the collision, but the pedestrian had already succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the site of the crash following the impact.
The Florida Highway Patrol has not released the names of those involved at this time, and the investigation into the specific circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
